John W. LaCroix

John retired from a career in Public & Governmental Affairs in the automotive industry and teaching university level business courses, holds an undergraduate degree in philosophy, English, and theology, along with two Masters Degrees in Psychology and Business Administration. He resides in Northville, Michigan with his wife, Natalie, a retired elementary teacher. John, Jr. MBA, James MS, MD, and Margaret MD, work respectively in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania where they provide homes for ten grandchildren. Mr. LaCroix continues his very active private life as a motivational speaker, writer, mentor, teacher, and painter.

His new and exciting series entitled Thistledom is a refreshing departure from much of the current juvenile fiction because it features real-life action, drama, and suspense without the violence, killing, and sorcery driven plots so prevalent in so many books and movies today. As Mr. LaCroix patiently introduces Nobby characters, troggs, and doogles and begins to spin the complex tale of their lives leading to the birth and development of the Kingdom of Thistledom, we discover the deep meaning hidden in an innocent phrase inscribed on an old pendant: “A Seed’s Power Lies In Its Promise.” As action unfolds through generations, it is the power within us that is the source of the only real magic in life.
